Ginkgo can affect bleeding and matter with warfarin, other blood thinners, aspirin and surgery. Huperzine A raises acetylcholine and can matter with Alzheimer's medicines such as donepezil, anticholinergic drugs, slow heart rate, asthma, bladder or bowel blockage and seizures. Bacopa can matter with thyroid medicine and sedatives. Pregnant or nursing women and children under 18 should not use it, and people with a medical condition or taking medication should consult a physician before use. Never stop or change a prescribed medicine because of a supplement. Keep out of reach of children. New or worsening memory problems need a doctor's visit.
